Persatuan Penganut-Penganut KEW ONG TAI-TAY is continuing the wisdom of our forefathers in worshipping the birth of the Nine Emperor Gods from the first day to the ninth day of the ninth moon according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, as was practised even before China's first Emperor, Shi Huang Di of Qin Dynasty (221 BCE - 206 BCE), to the present day.

Nine Emperor Gods Procession 2014

Sunday, September 28th, 2014

Today’s photos were taken at the Nine Emperor Gods procession early this morning. This year, Ipoh Tong Tien Koon Temple managed to obtain a permit for the procession, and hence, the other temples and Taoist organisations joined in the event. The procession began from the Tong Tien Koon temple in Jalan Bunga Raya, Pasir Pinji at about 8.30am.

From there, the procession proceeded to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Pasir Putih, Jalan Dato’ Onn Jaafar, Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Jalan Raja Ekram, crossing Jalan Tokong, turning left into Jalan King, right to Jalan Queen and finally returning to the temple through Jalan Theatre.
